Monoblock Sealing

As part of Dapper's restoration and maintenance we offer a driveway sealing, paving sealing service. However we do not believe the additional service to be of benefit to all domestic customers. We will advise during the quote the suitability of monoblock sealing for your property and state the reasons why.

Paving Sealing benefits:

• Prevent blocks from spalling, cracking and settling by heavy traffic after use.
• Prevent serious damage to bedding by freeze/thaw cycle. Prevents frost heave.
• Prevent infiltration of water (a major cause of bedding sand liquefaction and degredation).
• Unaffected by commercial de-icing salts.
• Retain jointing sand to provide block interlock.
• Suitable for areas that have severely channelised traffic.
• Sealing of joints prevents contamination of groundwater by Hydrocarbons.
• Unaffected by water or ice.
• Reduce monoblock loosening and creep.
• Reduce dusting of blocks.
• Maintains the sand in the joints even under high velocity water flows.
• Suitable for use on both concrete and clay paving
• Can be used straight from the container without the addition of any reactive ingredients.

Dapper have unfortunately learned of unscrupulous businesses hard selling this service. We will not recommend sealing unless it is absolutely necessary, even then we will only undertake the work if the client is 100% happy to have the work done and have satisfied themselves as to the benefits of sealing, off-set against the additional costs.
