Tarmac and Pothole Repairs

Dapper now offer a tarmac repair, restoration and coloring service. If you are fed up waiting for the local authority to repair that pothole get in touch potholes only get bigger. The step by step process is outlined below.

Pothole Repairs:

1. Cut out the affected area.
2. Excavate to a minimum of 100mm.
3. Add first layer, a hardcore min 25mm, tamp until compacted .
4. Seal & prime the edges with a bitumen sealant.
5. Add the second layer, Tarmac, tamp until compacted.
6. Finally seal the edges again with more bitumen sealant.

Restoration & Colouring

Although relatively inexpensive to lay compared to block paving and imprinted concrete, tarmac is prone to deterioration. Eventually the elements will make the tarmac dry out, crack-up and lose some of its colour, not to mention pot holes.

Dapper will first thoroughly clean the area removing all dirt, moss and algae. Once this is completed and the surface has dried we will repair any cracks or pot holes and sweep away any loose debris, this surface is now ready for coating.

Using the latest developments in tarmac coating technology we are able to transform the look of 'tired' and faded tarmac to make it look like it has only recently been laid. One or two coats of our tarmac restorer can totally change the appearance of any tarmac driveway and add significant 'kerb appeal' to any property.

We can now renovate old faded tarmac with a new, easy to apply tarmac restorer. This will rejuvenate faded tarmac and restore the original colouring to the surface. We are able to offer two colors of coating the traditional black and a dark red.

With total replacement of the tarmac often the only option, this new process is a very cost effective alternative. The results can be amazing.
